Norwegian – Culture/Adventure

«Norwegian» in Røros and Trondheim

Our final trip begins with a pleasant meeting with the world’s second tallest sculpture of a moose, near Atna, in the middle of the forest.

We also make a stop at Jutulhogget to enjoy the view from the largest canyon in Northern Europe… (our American students were not so impressed 😂)

Next stop is Røros and the famous Olav’s mine, a site which is a part of World Heritage Røros Mining Town. We walk through dark tunnels as we learn about the harsh working conditions of the miners.

Susan even met a former student, Mattis from Iceland in Røros! We live in a small world!

In Trondheim, we visit the most famous places – the brigde -Gamle Bybro, Nidarosdomen -even got the chance to go down to the (not so scary) crypt. We wander among very old burial sites.
