Elverum folk high school has lots of electives
Electives allow you to pursue your interests – or you can try something completely new!
In a "normal" week at folk high school, you have core subjects (with the major you have chosen), electives, and common subjects.
We have lots of electives to choose from. Some courses are offered before Christmas, some after Christmas, and some both before and after. You choose your electives after the school year has started, and for one semester at a time. That way you get to try more.
It is worth mentioning that the offer may vary slightly from year to year.
How it works
You must have a minimum of 55 hours per semester. There is no upper limit, as long as you have time in your schedule. The electives come in addition to line lessons and joint subject lessons each week.
Each elective has a price that covers materials and what you need in class. The price you pay for the school year includes 4300 NOK for electives, but if you choose subjects that exceed this amount, you must pay an additional fee.
