Raw training

Powerlifting

A sport with three main exercises – squat, bench press and deadlift. The goal is to lift as much weight as possible (1RM).

Olympic weightlifting

  • Focus on explosive strength, technique and power through jerks and thrusts.
  • Builds both physique and coordination – the foundation for many other sports.

Functional fitness

  • Varied and functional training that combines strength, endurance and gymnastic skills.
  • Competitions and training methods that suit both exercisers and those who want to compete.
  • A form of competition that combines running and functional exercises.
  • Perfect for those who enjoy both fitness and strength, and who want to try out a growing sport.

We are one clean school with focus on pure sport, and we collaborate closely with Anti-doping Norway.

This is what you learn

This line is for those of you who are focused or are completely new and want to learn from scratch. You will get a year of structure, community and the joy of training. You will get to test new forms of training in an inclusive environment.

Learning for life

The curriculum is important, but Elverum Folk High School is much more than just the curriculum. You also have electives in the afternoons and evenings, study trips with overnight stays, Saturday classes, and there is a lot of social happening – both planned and spontaneous.

All of these moments, encounters, and experiences provide valuable learning that will build and develop your skills, personality, and competencies for the rest of your life.

No matter what you're going to do after folk high school, it'll be better when you have a little more experience. Know yourself a little better. Have a slightly larger network and have challenged yourself.

Study tours with Styrkelinja 

Spania

A week on the sunny coast of Spain filled with blue skies, strength and social days. We use the days to train hard, map your level and plan your progression for the first period.

In addition, the trip is a good opportunity to get to know each other in class, cook and eat good and proper food together, exercise and recover in a comfortable climate.

Vienna and the "world's best gym"

Vienna is home to the "world's best gym", Das Gym. Here you'll have access to all the equipment you could dream of, on over 3000m2 dedicated to building muscle.

Vienna is also one of Europe's most beautiful capitals, and there will be time for sightseeing and city life between sessions.

Aalborg, Denmark

We travel to Denmark and visit Aalborg Sports College, which specializes in powerlifting, weightlifting and functional fitness.

Together we have training sessions and share tips and experiences.

You will also join us at "Cold Hawaii" on the west coast of Denmark - a world-renowned surfing destination. Here we will have surfing lessons and alternative training in the waves.

There will also be time to explore Aalborg, with museums, pleasant streets and events.
