How does the application process take place at Elverum Folk High School?

You can start applying for a school place from 1 October before the current school year. This is the same for all folk high schools.

There is no application deadline, but it is advisable to apply early as there may be more applicants on a line than we have room for. Complete applications with attachments and certificates are considered first. In the event of large gender biases on the various lines, the applicant's gender can be used as a criterion. We have an 18 year age limit.

Recording starts - offers are sent out

You will receive a response to your application from November 15th. This is common to all folk high schools. If you apply after November 15th, you will receive a response on a rolling basis.

Pupils from countries outside the EU/EEA and from Denmark are admitted continuously from 1 October.

Offers for school places will be sent to you by email and SMS.

Respond to offers of school places

We need an answer from you, and of course hope that you accept the school place. You can confirm this by email or SMS. There is a 14-day response period.

Confirmed school place

Once you have received an offer of a school place, accepted it and paid the registration fee, you are guaranteed a school place.
