Norwegian Culture / Adventure learns about Edvard Munch

Today we get to know Edvard Munch. He is the most famous Norwegian visual artist and one of the world's most famous painters. He was a painter and graphic artist, and his art is mostly associated with symbolism and expressionism.

Students read a chapter each about Munch's life and art. Then they share what they have read with the rest of the group. Furthermore, the groups must make questions to the other groups. Next week they will choose a picture of Munch for which they will write a story. As a finishing touch, we will travel to the Munch Museum in Oslo and get a guided tour and see his works.
