Dog sledding with Norwegian Culture / Adventure

Dog sledding is a dog sport that consists of a crew that will steer and pull a sledge, sledge, carriage or similar over a certain distance between two points. The dogs are strapped together and are called a dog team. The dogs pull and the dog handler controls with commands. The distances in competition vary between different races and depending on how many dogs are in the team. It can be anywhere from two to 16 dogs in one team.

Norwegian Culture / Adventure had the pleasure of visiting Mountain King's Sled Dog Kennel in Trysil. They do dog sledding and also have guided dog sledding tours. You can read more about the kennel and their trips here.
