London baby!
Music – Band/Vocal with good musical pre-Christmas experiences in the melting pot of London.
After a hectic period with a lot of concert assignments and before a hectic period with elf-hunting performances, we found time for a few days in the world city of London. Here we lived in the area around King's Cross in an apartment, where students on a given budget arrange self-catering.
In London they are very good at Christmas! So in the Christmas-decorated streets we got a good taste of what the city has to offer. We went to Leicester Square to get discounted musical tickets, where we got a good deal on the musical "Crazy for you". From there we went to the Science Museum, where we went to the pop-up exhibition "Turn it up - the power of music", an interactive exhibition about the role of music in our lives and about the development of technology in music.
After lunch we visited "The Vault", which is a well-hidden museum at the Hard Rock Cafe. Here you will find the most incredible things from the most famous musicians we have. From there we went to Denmark Street, a street with only cool music shops. After dinner in the apartment, we had a wonderful experience at a musical performance in the evening.
On day three, the students were given responsibility for setting up a sightseeing day, with responsibility for all logistics and planning before a late lunch. After lunch we visited Camden Market and finally Abbey Road, where it was a particularly great experience for the students who are big fans of The Beatles. In the evening we visited Ronnie Scott's Jazzclub, where there was a jam session with a fantastically cool band. The highlight is when our own Eva enters the stage and pulls off a very good version of "At Last" together with a talented team of musicians.
On the last day, we managed a tour of the worthy Royal Albert Hall, before the journey home could begin. Goodbye to hot degrees and wonderful London. Welcome to cold degrees and in other ways wonderful Elverum with pre-Christmas program and six Santa performances for approx. 700 audience members.
