Music line with full concert production
Right after the New Year, the music department was commissioned to arrange a house concert at the school - where they did "everything themselves".
Right after the New Year, the music line was commissioned to arrange a house concert at the school.
They were to put together a varied repertoire with self-produced music and cover songs lasting about 40 minutes. In addition, they were given all the responsibility for the set-up of the stage and hall, sending a technical rider to the sound man, promoting the concert and of course the dismantling.
Here the students learn about all aspects of playing a concert, and not just standing on stage and playing by themselves. It is a big job in advance to have a successful concert, and there are many things that need to be in place. This was a very good rehearsal for us to make a new production with several self-produced songs and take it on tour.
