First day of school 21-22

Welcome to 125 new excited students!

The first day of school always comes with a small load of tingling butterflies - also for employees. But most excited were probably the 125 new students.

Due to the Corona situation, all students were tested on their way to school. And with 100% negative tests, we got the start we were hoping for. The first week, we will still stay in cohorts on the lines to ensure good infection control on the advice of the municipal doctor.

Upon arrival, the students were given the room key, and staff guided them around the school area on their way to the dormitory. There they had the exciting first meeting with the roomie, and were able to unpack in their new home.

The opening program brought together all employees and students, and from the stage spoke principal Per Egil Andersen and deputy mayor Eldri Svisdahl. The deputy mayor informed about part of the offer in Elverum and warmly welcomed the students to our city.

As always when we gather together, there was singing. In addition, all employees were introduced and the teachers performed a small welcome song.

As the crowning achievement, the house band "The Husband" - consisting of teachers Per and Arild, assistant principal Åsmund, caretaker Morten and chef Kjell-Roger - played classics such as "Let me entertain you" and "Comfortably numb".

After dinner we had our first meetings in the lines, and began to get to know each other. Names began to sit, and all that was foreign was not as foreign anymore. Now we can finally start!
