In the spring of 2024, we offer Africa - Aid/Culture, Photo/Experiences, Music - Band/Vocal and Snowboard/Freeski.

Are you done with the first service? Have you been working for six months and want to try something new? Maybe you didn't have time to apply for a startup after the summer, but regret it?
There are many reasons for wanting to go to a folk university for six months - and there are many opportunities! Many choose this variant, and find that they are well received in a warm and social environment.
At Folkehøgskole you get good experiences and challenges. Folkehøgskole is for everyone, and the goal is personal development - starting from you, where you are when you arrive.
Elverum Folkehøgskole is open-minded, which means that students should feel that they are seen and have value regardless of religion, orientation, gender, culture, political opinion, background or disability.

Africa - Aid/Culture (spring)
You become an "everyday friend" here at home, and get to experience Africa's incredible culture and wildlife in Kenya and Uganda - where we run schools for over 800 children. Learn creative and correct assistance that is useful!
Photo/Experiences (spring)
You learn to master the camera, the light and the techniques that the pros use. At the same time, you experience arctic surfing, sea eagles, street photography, analogue photography, exhibitions and much more in nine countries!
Music – Band/Vocal (spring)
Become a better musician - solo and in a band! You do live shows, learn about sound and lighting and make studio recordings. We travel on tour and interrail from Zagreb to Berlin.
Snowboard/Freeski (spring)
Two alpine tours, season ticket in Trysil and rail park right outside the door! Board and ski in Laax (Switzerland), Hintertux (Austria), Trysil, Hemsedal, Sälen and in the school's own rail park. Prepare your body with wakeboard, surf, skate, trampoline, gymnastics and strength training. You get a season ticket in Trysil and access to a lot of film equipment.
