Active for others: An aid race - lots of madness!
1800 school children came to visit to run, play and be active
others!
In collaboration with the Elementary School in Elverum, we again organized Aktiv for Others. The idea is both simple and good: get schoolchildren to walk/run for 60 minutes, open a kiosk per school and watch for 90 minutes and around thirty varied activities - directed and run by everyone at our school. Although most people are now running for our projects in Uganda, it is important that it is open to whom the various schools want to support financially. We cover the administration costs as a school and can therefore specify that 100% of the profits from Aktiv for Andre go to the Rwenzori Elverum Educatinal Center (REEC) in Kasese, Uganda.

GOOD FOR THE PRIMARY SCHOOL AND GOOD FOR US
We think it's great that most school children in Elverum spend a day helping others to have a better everyday school life. In addition to high levels of well-being, the children work hard to make grandparents realize that they were a little too positive in giving their grandchild NOK 20 per round!. Simple math problems are queued up - like How many more rounds did 5th grade run than 6th grade? For us, it is also nice to work with some of our competence targets for our students - such as COMMUNICATION, CREATIVITY, INTERACTION AND RELATIONSHIP-BUILDING, SELF-INSIGHT AND PERFORMANCE ORIENTATION

DOCUMENTATION AND VOLUNTEERING
After Elverum folk high school returns home from three weeks at the projects in Uganda, the schools are offered pictures/films and mini-lectures. So that they can understand what the money is used for. In addition, former students and sporty Norwegian pensioners travel down to work and holiday voluntarily from 2-6 months. These will also be able to control the use of the money and themselves be able to use it on safe and good small projects
