København
– experiential pre-Christmas tour
The students at Art traveled together with Foto and Norwegian, a big nice group on a trip, and where the experience already started in the school's courtyard - in the brand new bus to Elverum Turbuss. Not only did we sit well in soft seats, the drive from door to door was also very social and comfortable.
After a few hours by bus and a couple of food stops in the south of Sweden, we arrived at Steel House Copenhagen. We checked into nice six-person rooms, very social and cozy to live close to each other, but we didn't have much time to lie on the bed.
A lot on the program
A lot was on the agenda these days. On the very first evening, there was an Amazing race in Copenhagen's Christmas-decorated streets. And it's amazing how well known you become when you have to look for famous landmarks in the city, or find answers to what seems more unknown.
On the very first day of our stay in the big city, we had great experiences. We challenged our fear of heights and physical fitness by going to the top of Vor Frelser church. 400 steps, but it was very easy for this group, and they were not intimidated by the height either.
We then went to Copenhagen's popular alternative community, Christiania.
A boat trip on the canals together Foto and Norwegian was the next item on the program. Nice to experience the city from the sea side, but we got a bit frozen.
The Nutcracker
So then it was nice to thaw out with a hot shower, dress up, have dinner before the absolute highlight of the trip - The Nutcracker at the Royal Theatre. Impressive in every way. We were taken into another world, a pre-Christmas adventure about Clara who receives a nutcracker doll as a present, and she dreams that the doll turns into a prince. Beautiful music and beautiful ballet dancing.
The Norwegian Museum of Art
The following day, there is another highlight on the program for Art, when the Statens Museum for Art was to be visited. For art students who are of course particularly interested in art, it was a great experience. You will find all forms of art under one roof, you can almost indulge in an art collection with over 200 paintings, sculptures, graphics and drawings from the 000th century to the present day. A great experience.
Art, Photography and Norwegian had dinner together, a delicious buffet with hot and cold dishes. Even something sweet.
funfair
You can hardly visit Copenhagen without visiting Denmark's most popular attraction - the fun fair. Here we all, both students and teachers, got to feel the g-forces in fierce loops in the roller coasters, feel the magical atmosphere and see spectacular light shows. Everyone had a great time.
Then it was time to go home. A steady driver brought us all home safely, when morning came we were back in the school yard.
Thanks for the trip
