Brilliant autumn trip by canoe for Foto and Norwegian - see film and pictures!

Out in the wild

The Kynna is a wonderful paddling waterway just one hour from the school. The river meanders through forests and fields and makes paddling exciting. Along the banks are trees felled by beavers, and with the autumn sun scorching it provided the perfect setting for the trip.

After a short introduction to paddling technique, a couple of hours of paddling downstream to the campsite followed. Here we set up layered tents with wood-fired ovens and cooked food from scratch on a fire!

The evening went to bonfires, fires in the tents, drone flying, light painting and star pictures. And after a glorious morning with frost on the ground, frost in the heather and oatmeal cooked on a fire, there was another paddling stage while the mist lay over the water!
