Analog portraits
Darkroom for advanced learners.
The photography department has taken a step further with analog photography. We have worked with artificial light in photography and larger formats in the darkroom.
Larger formats allow for "dodge and burn", a technique where more or less light is allowed to enter the image to "edit" it to make parts of the image lighter and darker.
In addition, some used creative techniques in the development process and painted the developer with a brush – or by placing their hand on the image to create effects.
Incredibly cool – and fun that the students are starting to become independent in the darkroom.
