Backpacker / extreme sports on new surfing adventures in Denmark

This week, Backpacker / Ekstremsport has been on a trip to Klitmøller to improve their surfing skills, looked at the bunkers from World War II, got to know the "city" and had social programs to strengthen unity.

Surfing

The main focus of the trip was to improve the surfing skills since last time, and there the class performed strongly. Impressed instructors praised the level and development of the class. With hard work and focus in place, there is little this gang can not do.

The cannon battery at Klitmøller

A must-see in Klitmøller is the Cannon Battery from World War II. It is beautifully located down by the beach not far from the campsite we stayed at. In 1942, the bunkers were built partly to house the cannons, partly for the fire brigade and partly for the crew. In recent times, the bunkers have been tagged down and the result is as they look today.

Sustainability

With sustainability in mind, the students were given the task of buying food for the whole week, of which one dinner was to be vegetarian. In addition, the goal was to buy just enough food for four days, so that they neither got too little nor had to throw anything away.

After Tuesday's surfing course, we had a little extra time to take a little trip in the "city". The local creperie offered exclusive pancakes with accessories that some of us were so lucky to experience.

In the evenings we gathered in the ranch at Nystrup Camping and had various social activities.
