BELIEVE

BELIEVE is a fantastic cross-genre band from Hamar that always delivers quality from the top shelf. The band has existed since 2011 and consists of experienced musicians who are very active in many bands, and in the cultural life of the Inland. They have released several albums, and bring a brand new one to the festival. We can expect a rich range of styles and musical professionalism mixed with playfulness and good lyrics.

ProgAtom

The band ProgAtom on stage

PROGATOM is a Norwegian prog rock band established in 2012. The music is melodious symphonic rock with ambient features. Members are: Åsmund Mjelva – bass, Arild Sveum – keys, Mattis Sørum – guitars, Rune Ulen – percussion and Tore Christer Storlid – vocals.

ProgAtom has released two albums, "Sagittarius A" (2015) and "Spiral" (2018). The band has received mention in the international music press and has been played on radio stations across large parts of the world.

The band's third album "Iconic Pictures" will be released in 2023.

Benedict Brænden

BENEDICTE THE FIRE is an exciting artist who is genre-wise located in the borderland americana / rockabilly / country. She has released the albums Doghouse Rose, Blood on your Hands and Raging Rivers. Benedicte now lives in Germany, but is originally from Elverum, and is looking forward to playing at home. She performs with a full band at the Sagtjernfestivalen. We can look forward to a great show from a great artist!

Katthult

Slightly legendary Katthult makes a live comeback with a full band during this year's Sagtjern Festival!

The Elverum band, which had roots in the pop/folk/rock genre throughout the 90s (Lost in Legoland, later Egoland), started as Katthult back in 1999 by recording the song "Weaker", which would later ensure the band's breakthrough both nationally and internationally via an American songwriting competition on the internet. Something that was not quite commonplace back in 2000. The band experienced massive interest with massive radio play and press coverage.

The band signed a record contract with Swedish Bonnier Records and released their debut album "Katthult" in 2001, for which they were again nominated for the Spellemannspris, in strong competition with Kaizers and Morten Abel, among others. The singles from the record received high rotation on Norwegian radio, in addition the song "One day" was used in a huge American series called Felicity - directed by none other than JJ Abrams!

In autumn 2002, the band went to Gothenburg to record the follow-up album "Labrador" in the studio of producer Johan Forsmann (Soundtracks Of Our Lives, Weeping Willows). The first single from the album "Celebrate Me" received a lot of attention on both Norwegian and Swedish radio and experienced high chart positions.

In 2005 the trio once again went into the studio, this time to Athletic Sound in Halden where they recorded their fabled 3rd album which was never actually released on the market. In 2006, the band decided to take an indefinite hiatus…

We are honored that the band is coming with the "full package" and making a comeback at the Sagtjern Festival on 19 August 2023! Many of the songs from Athletic Sound will be presented here.
