The tourist project in Kasese

Beautiful and tiring until Mbunga Campsite

After watching school football and the agricultural projects, we were ready for a trip up to Kilembe and Mbunga Campsite - ie our tourist project. Extra fun because this is where most volunteers from EFHS have left their mark. Former students at Afrika BK, Photography, Theatre/Musical, Norwegian CA and not least from Music Production. The accommodation houses have been partly sponsored by them and have names such as Willi(helmine)-house, Maria-house and Camillahouse. And the most important Restaurant Gode Dager - named after music student Sigurd Dager from Kongsvinger. This is a good example of positive spin-offs. The Dager family + 7 Rotary clubs in Kongsvinger, together with the locals, arranged a very valuable water supply to Mbunga. The whole village, church and school - next to our project Mbunga Campsite got to enjoy this. And Sigurd has probably stretched the collaboration for the longest time since he married the beautiful Mercy from Kasese last year!

The first house (Camillahouse from 2013. The first volunteers) is being restored

Åshild, Amalie and Anna rest after the "climbing trip" up.

After some fruit serving, we got a cultural tour which ended in a local dance from the people of Mbunga - gradually with good participation from EFHS.

Steady footwork by Ingrid Alice and Thea

After this we were served a good lunch before the whole group went back down to Kilembe where our bus and Jimmy were waiting for us.
