Africa happy with the autumn

Ready for a different Christmas present, Santa hunt and family weekend

What has happened at Africa Aid/Culture this autumn?

After a good week of "forced socialization" with a fantastic student evening (presentation of all the lines) museum day and 3 great days in Jotunheimen and Glittertinden as the main goal, we were ready for the first line week: Self-salvage (blueberry picking) Theme day in Trysil w/ Photography and Music, separate program on Utøya and 22 July, 3-course African cooking, start of pledges and other fundraising methods for our projects in Uganda, African film and documentaries, lots of value choices w/discussions. Friend in Everyday Life- has started up. We visit elderly people in old age and nursing homes and children in primary school and kindergarten

Satisfied group after the first program evening
An incredible amount of blueberries around Stavåsdammen
Get to know Elverum with the school bikes
KOMPIS inclusion of young refugees: Here with first aid courses with the Red Cross
Overzealous judges are satisfied with three African dishes!

Much of the autumn was about Active for Others. Close to 2000 pupils in Elverum and Åmot have raised over NOK 200000 - including an outdoor canteen and packed lunch sale - carried out by an enthusiastic Afrikagang. Fun to see how well the opening dance to Waka waka worked - both in Elverum and at Rena. All glory!

After the autumn holidays:

Started by going on a minibus trip to Kristiansand. There we started with the great project MERCY SHIPS and after a bit of city walking we went to THE POWER FOUNDATION. We visited two pleasant evenings/nights at Isefjærleiren THE ARCHIVE - peace and human rights centre. Now we will soon be ready for Movies on War 2023 , The Great Goblin Hunt
